ASSESSMENT OF PERFORMANCE OF FEMALE MARKETING EXECUTIVES IN COMMERCIAL BANKS IN NIGER STATE, NIGERIA

ABSTRACT

From the study it was discovered that female bankers have gained skills and potentials of not just being a home maker but being at parity with their male counterpart, thriving towards high rate, that the female bankers have to work for longer hours to sustain their standard of living and accomplish their basic need. Inspite of having the advancement in the area of technology to fastening their services, they still face with some challenges, such as irrational people, workplace condition transfer, their performance today have succeeded in convincing employers to consider them for top position as a manager or directors. The study adopted survey design, data was collected using the questionnaire, and the units for the research were estimated to 543 female workers, cluster sampling procedure was adopted to select the sample size to 225. Based on the body of literature review and the field work assessment, same hypotheses were proposed, and tested using Pearson r, Z-test, and Chi-squared test. Findings from the study were that performance rating were measured through efficiency and effectiveness, job rotation, personal ability to perform, and personal decision relating to promotion with 0.89> 0.599 (positive) accepted the H1 and rejected Ho of the hypothesis One. It was recommended that central Bank should continue with its policies on monitory commercial banks for their operations to the world Bank standard.
