ABSTRACT
This research investigates and evaluates epistemological certainty from Edmund Husserl position and the expedition of his Phenomenology. From time immemorial, philosophers have battled strenuously to prove that certain knowledge is possible and such knowledge can be attained; since epistemology originates from the sceptic challenge to the sophist, it is Edmund Husserl’s contention that with the method of phenomenology, certain, indubitable, and apodictic knowledge can be guaranteed. Surrounded by the Husserlian epistemological framework, the researcher tried as much to expose and evaluate Husserl conception of phenomenology. Husserl considers that Phenomenology offers us the opportunity to analyze the data of experience as they are presented to the thinking and experiencing mind. It is the researcher’s contemplation and position that with the aid of Edmund Husserl’s phenomenology we can certainly attain some convincing height of epistemological certainty while maintaining that Husserl’s phenomenology and its method are not without some exertion.
